While Providence, RI, is the #1 book city in America, with 139 libraries and 70 indie bookstores, Denver hasn’t gone that far from it: with 110 libraries and 278 bookstores (and taking into consideration the number of residents in both locations), it makes #13 in the list of the best book cities (according to Clever Real Estate’s report on The Best Book Places in the U.S. (2022 Data).

Denver scores higher in this respect, compared to Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Antonio and even New York, giving way to Boston and Seattle.
