These monumental works, containing written narratives, symbolic souvenirs, clues, and observations, are a celebration of some of the planet's most extraordinary places and of time spent studying and experiencing them. His exhibitions have been shown in many major museums and galleries, including the Smithsonian Institution, Yale Center for British Art, California Academy of Sciences, the Royal Watercolour Society, and the Royal Geographical Society. This is the first comprehensive retrospective volume of his work. In addition to selections from Tony Foster's diaries, the book includes contributions by James K.
