Die ursprűngliche Forschungsarbeit űber das Schicksal der Kinder von Bialystok wurde zum ersten Mal während der Konferenz in Oxford, England, unter dem Titel „Zukunftweisende Erinnerungen” im Jahre 1988, verőffenctlicht. Die Arbeit wurde in Deutsch vom Max Planck-Institut in dem wissenschaftlichen Blatt „Sozialwissenschaftlichen Informationen” abgedruckt und mit einem Kommentar versehen. Dieser Beitrag zur Geschichte wurde auf der ersten wissenschaftlichen Konferenz in Theresienstadt (Tsechoslowakei) i.
