A nontraditional conceptual model of the natural rhythm of human sexuality is introduced and explored in both its natural form and its unnatural forms-deadened sexuality (sexual dysfunction) and perverted sexuality. The core of the theoretical base is Gestalt therapy, with integrations of Reichian and psychoanalytic theory where they offer further illumination. Seven of the book's nine chapters are devoted to the description and understanding of sexuality by means of this new model. In another chapter "sexual aliveness" is presented as a value, with detailed discussion of the meaning and implications of that value. The final chapter examines the Western socio-political and moral context of sexuality.
