Web-Based Enterprise Management (WBEM) and its Component Information Model (CIM) provide the architecture, language, interfaces, and common models for the management of storage, computing, and telecommunication applications. A Practical Approach to WBEM/CIM Management describes in detail WBEM/CIM architecture and explores the standard models developed by the Distributed Management Task Force (DMTF). For novice flyers and those who've always wanted to learn, Chris Hobbs, an experienced private pilot and instructor, answers numerous questions about learning to fly in Canada, including the questions many are afraid to ask. The book also includes explanations of terminology used by private and recreational pilots, descriptions of some basic manoeuvres, examinations and where to find further resources. The author also includes a description of a typical flight. Earning a Private Pilot Licence could be the first step towards becoming a professional pilot or the only step to becoming a recreational one. While it is hoped this book has something to offer for both types of reader, it is written primarily for those who intend to fly for pleasure. Books on learning to fly abound, but most assume that the reader has started flight training. They deal with the technical issues of getting an aircraft from A to B and landing successfully. This book is different, as it is for those considering starting training. Existing books also tend to be oriented towards flying in the USA or the UK and, while handling an aircraft doesn't differ from country to country, regulations and procedures do and continual reference to US regulations (FARs) can be both confusing and annoying. This book refers to few regulations, but those that it does mention are Canadian ones. Learning to fly is hard work and it has its rewards and frustrations. The author likes to think of the novice, after a lesson during which there was failure to master a cross-wind landing or clean stall recovery, taking down this book and using it to rekindle enthusiasm. The author enjoys flying and hopes this pleasure comes through to the novice.
