The Autobiography of a Young Woman Who Survived the Horrors of the Nazi Death Camps. Survival is an autobiography in which the author relates her experiences and her struggle to survive during her captivity as a young, 18-year-old girl in the three German concentration camps: Auschwitz, Bremen, and Bergen Belsen. Being of Jewish descent she had been deported with her family and in the camps encountered the danger and the probability of being killed one way or another on a daily basis. She also depicts the senseless deaths of her fellow prisoners. The book gives an insight into the author's childhood and adolescent years, where the concept of anything like this happening was beyond belief. The reader finds out about her family background and the historical events that took place in her native city in Romania during that time. The political changes which occurred during World War II played a crucial role in her destiny and the fate of the Jewish people. Magda also conveys how she coped with the grief and pain of losing so many members of her family, including her father, in the Holocaust. Then she speaks about her gradual recovery from the wounds of the Holocaust and her ultimate reunion with her mother. Magda's poetry is included in the book.

It relates, in verse, the experiences the author underwent as a young girl held captive in several German concentration camps during World War II. It deals with her suffering, the struggle for survival, as well as the senseless deaths of her family and fellow prisoners. It also depicts the period of loss and grief she experienced when she returned home alive after the War. This is the second book in Magda Herzberger's Holocaust trilogy. The first book is Survival, Magda's autobiography of her life as a child and her experiences at Auschwitz, Bremen, Bergen-Belsen, three of the most infamous of the Nazi death camps. The third book, is Tales of the Magic Forest a children's book that reflects the lessons and messages that Magda learned through her experiences at the hands of the Nazi's. Through them all, her faith and courage shine brightly.

I am wide awake So, all that happened to me Wasn't real after all It was only a fake, A strange dream, It would seem But then I can hear Elijah whispering in my ear, "Know you are in the right place, Accept it with gratitude and grace! Be happy, appreciate and enjoy your family. You are now in the true house Of your destiny!" To a great extent Dreamworld is related to my experiences in the Holocaust. The stories in my book are based on the night- mares I had for many years after my return from the German concentration camps. As time went on my nightmares subsided. But during the night of June 17, 1981 I had a strange dream with all kinds of characters, dialogues and action. In other words, it encompassed a whole story. At some point in my dream the shadows of the Holocaust moved into my dream- land in different forms, intertwining with the story of my dream, thus creating units of fiction and reality. I put down my pen and went back to sleep, hoping that maybe I would meet the spirit of Robert Frost again in a dream so that I could share my poems with him. It didn't happen on that day, but I knew in my heart that we would meet again soon ... perhaps in my next dream.

If You Truly Love Me

The most meaningful and valuable gift I could think of presenting to my beloved husband Eugene for our 60th Wedding Anniversary is this collection of love poems, which I wrote for him throughout the many years of our married life. They are the expressions and manifestations of my deep love, passion, and friendship for my husband. I have also included the musical scores I composed to some of the lyrics. I am very thankful to the Almighty for sending the man of my dreams to me some 60 years ago. And I am looking forward to many more years of happiness, love, and companionship with my partner in life.
