It provides baseline standards for the protection of classified information released or disclosed to industry in connection with classified contracts under the Nisp. This Manual cancels DoD 5220.22-S-1, "Comsec Supplement to the Industrial Security Manual for Safeguarding Classified Information," August 1983.
