It was a travesty to work at six different prisons in three different states and see the same things occur in each of these prisons. Though there has been extensive media coverage about prisons, and though many politicians have made emotional decisions/laws concerning some of the contents in this book, the 'inside truth' has yet to be told. The things I have witnessed and been subjected to while working inside different prison walls, places me in a position to tell the 'inside truth;' the 'inside truth' about the criminal justice system, that can't be told by others. Garry L. Jones is a former U.S. Department of Justice employee. Jones attended North Carolina Central University, earning a B.A. in Criminal Justice. He retired from the Federal Bureau of Prisons as a Senior Lieutenant, after working 16 years for both federal and state prison facilities.

Modern Day Lynching is a timeless capsule capturing the challenges of being black in America. Through this fictitious coming of age story Chayanne Carter-Parker helps the reader discover the inner and outer workings, the novel opens with inner turmoil; Lilly Chayanne's daughter exploits the comfort of privileges in their life and feels the peer pressure of society to be something she's not (white). Chayanne a conflicted divorced parent re-lives her summer of sorrows childhood trauma through storytelling to connect with Lilly in hopes to expose her developing mind to the truths around her. In present day Chayanne is battling with a career ending decision that threatens her family's safety, when a case file reaches her desk; a black unarmed teenage boy is gunned down outside of a convenient store by an off-duty police officer. This pain runs deep; bearing witness to this style of lynching as a young girl, a vindictive hate surfaces for the laws she swore to uphold, she strives to balance her personal emotions of the past and present; the clock winds down forcing her to coincide with the law firm she aims to become partner or the pleads of a wounded mother grieving a child. Miles away from home Chayanne's son Ashtyn is accused of murdering a classmate and is detained at a police station off campus. Chayanne mind races through time where her parents lacked to protect David and her; David's naked lifeless body swayed in the summer breeze from a sycamore tree. Chayanne's motherly instincts overpowers all, she rushes to aid her son escape the unjust gavel of life. Will she find the strength to outwit the web of society, or will she crumble at the pressure of her own internal struggles?

The Rebellious Child is a story about a troublesome individual who feels as if society and the world as he knows it has failed him. After a few reckless choices that leads to a heart full of pain, he comes to realize that life in itself isn't only about one's and zero's. He also learns that everything isn't about being good or bad.\nThere are other exponents to the equation that helps bring more meaning and clarity to his problem. However, every decision comes with a consequence. When it comes to his journey to peace, who knows where that will take him.

In the beginning, the Universe was formed. There was an instant and robust burst of powerful Elements flowing out, permeating across the skies of Existence. Ancient human civilizations, such as Babylon, Egypt, Persia, Greece, Japan, India, and even early Rome, produced chronicles and records that document wise men and monks learning how to bend the classical elements (Fire, Water, Earth, Air, and possibly "Aether") of the Earth. But the practice slowly died out due to a decrease in elementalists, causing it to be outlawed and deemed as witchcraft in the eyes of many non-benders. Elementalism remained infamous and unpopular until it finally vanished. So it was until 1000 CE, when a few millennials sought the elements and began bending them once more. Elementalism soon became a worldwide phenomenon. People began making empires, alliances, and kingdoms based on their elemental heritages and generated greatness in the forms of wealth, fame, and power. . Fire and Ice Kingdoms were generally allies since they had relatives on their thrones (like Europe before World War I). They fought alongside each other in many elemental battles, such as the Great Conquest, the Shadow Wars, and the Omnishadow Birth Conflict. The Nature Kingdom, the most valuable and powerful kingdom, controlled modern-day South America and was quite greedy. They always wanted territory from other nations. They wanted the Caribbean, ruled by the Kingdom of Storms. They wanted to keep "the natives" from cultivating tobacco; it was actually the Europeans, as it was the 1400s. . The First Elemental War-the most culturally, historically, and aesthetically significant war in the history of the Universe-lasted from 1000 to 1500. The Second Elemental War was waged against Lord Shadorn and Lord Senkrad who wielded the Dark Elements against the much more benevolent Elemental Force. . Elemental Prophets arose in their respective kingdoms and made Elemental Declarations of the Chosen Ones. Out of all the great wars, the Elemental Wars remain the biggest, bloodiest, and longest in all of history. There are three now, actually. This book is about the greatest one. . The most epic one.
