A massive book mainly covering the Brion Family Cemetery located near Venice. One of Scarpas largest projects, this also happens to be the place where he was buried. The overview includes ten other Scarpa creations in Italy such as the Canova Museum and various Biennale pavilions. Hundreds of colour photos of interiors and exteriors, surface details, and surroundings. Colour drawings and photos all printed on thick grainy paper, sturdily bound in a linen hardback, and wrapped in a paper jacket. Similar in concept to Totos earlier books on Barragan, Candela, and Shinohara.

Charles-Édouard Jeanneret, otherwise known as the Swiss architect Le Corbusier, is famous for proclaiming ""the house is a machine for living in"". This neat comparison of 106 of his designs for houses edited by Tadao Ando Laboratory (with model, as well as plan and side views), each house to one spread, sets Le Corbusier's experiments in perspective. Two essays discuss the theory behind his designs and what they reveal about the man himself.
