This indepth study includes point twill and extended point twill on four harnesses and point twill and twill-as-blocks on 8, 12 and 16. Exciting color-and-weave patterns are developed with various warp and weft color sequences on these same twills. Combining tie-ups and combining color-and-weave effects is explored. The aim of the monograph is to understand ways to develop unique, original patterns.

<p>The pinwheel motif is presented in weaves ranging from two to sixteen shafts and from fine to large effects. The monograph takes you through that range with 46 pages of drawdowns and black&amp;white photographs. Many of the patterns use three tones - dark, medium and light. The pinwheel motif also is used as a basis for designing tie-ups. Ideal for self study or for a study group interested in pattern weaving or fashion fabrics!</p>
