Poetry. {ENTHUSIASM} is the 7th poetry collection by poet, artist, curator and vanguardist SJ Fowler. It follows highly-acclaimed collections including The Rottweiler's guide to the Dog Owner and Enemies: the selected collaborations of SJ Fowler. The book's 81 poems are intended as individual pieces in their own right, but are interlinked by subjects including battle and violence, infants and infancy, religion, economy and population, the self, modernity, and the past. Poetry. REPUBLIC OF DOGS/REPUBLIC OF BIRDS is the first book-length prose text by poet and translator Stephen Watts. The text was written on a typewriter in the late 1980s, then mislaid and lost. Found again in 2012, it was typed onto a laptop with minimal editing. The narrative moves between London's Isle of Dogs and Scotland's Western Isles, where Watts lived and worked as a shepherd. It is both a topographical journey through two landscapes and a highly personal meditation on the history and memory of these locations. Watts is interested in the changing landscape of London's East End: the destruction of working- class culture and its collective memory and the pace of urban development and regeneration. The writing is itself a form of activism, memorialising a lost culture through its physical traces and the stories and voices of its inhabitants.

MICROAGGRESSIONS combines minimalist, incidental observations of life in New York City - reminiscent of Frank O'Hara - with the concise, rhythmic imagism of William Carlos Williams, transplanted into 21st-century, digital reality. Divided into six titled sections, the book is composed of series of short, 'micro' poems that offer observations on subjects ranging from politics to shopping, fashion to ancient history, computer games and celebrity culture to more personal experiences of work and play, love and desire.

It presents a varied and carefully curated selection of works which foreground the translator, and, by showcasing a broad range of approaches, seeks to challenge dominant perceptions of translation as an uncomplicated literary service that simply facilitates access to foreign and/or historical texts. Comprised of 29 extended excerpts from book-or-pamphlet-length translation projects (rather than one-off translations of individual poems), either unpublished or published since 2010, the selection leans towards translations by and from female translators and authors, and towards work that shows awareness of, and that negotiates in interesting ways, the complex power dynamics inherent to every act of translation. In addition to the poems, the anthology includes extended introductory material by Sophie Collins, a preface by Erín Moure and an afterword by Zoë Skoulding. The excerpts are accompanied by short contextualising notes based on discussions with the translators and (where possible) the authors of the source texts. CURRENTLY &amp; EMOTION aims not to provide a definitive thesis on what the process and function of translation should be, but to encourage discussion about its challenges and possibilities, and the complex political and emotional issues with which it unavoidably engages.
