"This is a superbly written storybook. The pros are simple and most young children over the age of five will find it easy to follow. It's also not overly long - which can be a blessing for a tired parent - and there's a wonderful 'mystery' element to the story (where is Magic?) which is cleverly wrapped up at the end in a thoughtful and sweet way. Now to the illustrations. For my six year old daughter, who also read the book, they were the best part of the story. Yes, she enjoyed the plot, the characters, and the way the author described the setting, but it was the colorful, even delightful drawings that kept her interest. There are plenty too, and they, along with the lightly written story kept her enthralled for the evening. To sum up, this is a sweetly written book with a fantastic message and full of vibrant characters. I suspect most children aged 4 to 7 will find this fun; not only that, I think most parents will enjoy it too. And don't forget to try and find the little mouse hidden on every page!"
