Der Band 17 enthalt alle Referate der Jahrestagung und weitere Beitrage aktueller Themen. Der Arbeitskreis ist ein Verband der Hochschullehrer und -innen sowie anderer Fachleute, die auf dem Gebiet der Denkmalpflege an Universitaten und Fachhochschulen lehren und forschen. Dem interdisziplinaren Charakter der Aufgaben in der Denkmalpflege folgend, sind darin unterschiedliche berufliche Fachrichtungen vertreten: Architekten und Bauforscher, Kunsthistoriker, Landschaftsarchitekten, Bauingenieure, Stadtplaner und Andere. Der Arbeitskreis mit derzeit rund 100 Mitgliedern in Deutschland und den benachbarten Landern widmet sich seit 1973 dem kollegialen Erfahrungs- und Gedankenaustausch.

In 1714, Prince Elector Georg Ludwig of the House of Hanover was crowned King George of Great Britain, and for the next 123 years Hanoverians ruled two dominions in Personal Union from the English throne. To mark the tercentenary of George I's coronation, the State of Lower Saxony is staging the first major cultural and historical exhibition to shed light on this era: 'The Hanoverians on Britain's Throne 1714-1837'. The central exhibition at the State Museum in Hanover presents an overview of the entire period of the Personal Union, illuminating the actions of the five rulers and significant historical events such as the Seven Years' War, the American War of Independence and the Napoleonic Era. The centrepiece of the exhibition at Schloss Herrenhausen Museum reunites for the first time in over 200 years the finest pieces of the once-renowned art collection of Count Wallmoden, an illegitimate son of George II. This catalogue traces the fruitful dialogue and exchanges between Hanover and Great Britain, with exhibits on loan from numerous public and private collections in Europe and North America bringing to life both the history of the Personal Union and many other aspects such as the growing splendour of the court in London, the foundation of the University of Gottingen and the influence of English culture in Hanover.

In the framework of the Here I Stand project, exhibitions will be shown in Minneapolis, New York, and Atlanta in Fall 2016. Focusing on unique exhibits from authentic places of Luther's life and the history of the Reformation, these exhibitions present a comprehensive picture of the life and work of Martin Luther, his Reformation, its cultural-historical context and lasting impact. This catalogue brings together a thematically structured description of the various exhibits, most of which are being shown abroad for the first time. Original Luther objects and autographs as well as archaeological finds from the Luther sites in Eisleben, Mansfeld, and Wittenberg illuminate the personality of the Reformer and his environment. They are supplemented by a spectacular collection of artistic and graphic masterpieces, sculptures, objets d'art and important printed works. Seen as a whole they offer a unique overview of the important cultural treasures of the birthplace of the Reformation.

English summary: In addition to his unique abilities as a composer, poet, singer and performer, Bob Dylan (b. 1941) created an extensive oeuvre in the visual arts. His pastels entitled "Face Value" emerged in 2012. They show faces that are influenced by experience and circumstances. Dylan gives these portraits a surprising depth. He links his subjects to centuries-old icons, and thereby giving the sitter, despite their adversities in life, a special dignity. The catalogue of watercolors is supplemented by contributions from an art, musical and literary scholar, who analyzes Dylan's work under multiple aspects.

Between 1905 and 1920 Russia was convulsed by revolutions, war and civil war. At the same time a young generation of artists ventured a new beginning. In exhibitions and publications they cooperated with the Western European avant-garde and developed artistic approaches of their own like Cubo-Futurism and Suprematism.
