<p>About the Author\nJoshua Edwards (Galveston Island) is the author of THE DOUBLE LAMP OF SOLITUDE (Rising Tide Projects, 2021), Architecture for Travelers and Imperial Nostalgias, among other poetry collections, and a photobook, PHOTOGRAPHS TAKEN AT ONE-HOUR INTERVALS DURING A WALK FROM GALVESTON ISLAND TO THE WEST TEXAS TOWN OF MARFA (Edition Solitude, 2014); and he translated María Baranda's Ficticia. He directs Canarium Books and teaches at Pratt Institute and Columbia University.\nEmerging from walks taken by the author from the birthplaces to the deathsites of three poets (Hölderlin, Lorca, and Hernández), THE DOUBLE LAMP OF SOLITUDE is a collection of poems, prose, translations, and images that meditate on time, relationships, reading, society, and solitude.<br />
