Coney and her new friend Lin are enjoying a summer camp for young predators when they encounter Coney's cousin Wendell, a runaway from the nearby camp for plant-eaters. Somehow, the three children have to find a way to safety in this new collection of "Kevin &amp; Kell" strips. Meanwhile, when Kell became Ceo of Herd Thinners, Inc. it appeared that all of the Dewclaws' worries were over forever. She had achieved the lifelong dream of any predator, and the family's money concerns were a thing of the past. However, she found herself facing dissent from the staff as she tried to change the company in a way that prepared it for the future. Also, Kevin's seat on the Rabbit Council was threatened by an unexpected recall vote. On Easter morning Rudy and Fiona explored the mysterious rabbit warren for the first time, which later became the scene of a dramatic Thanksgiving meal. Finally, December provided Lindesfarne and Fenton a chance to play Santa in the most literal sense.

Tabloid-worthy events sparked the year of 2009 for Samantha and her friends. At the genetics lab, Rosalind faced an amphibious future with a steady diet of flies. . .unless she received a daily kiss from the decidedly un-princely Rupert. Samantha herself spent a December evening in the physical form of a jolly old elf, and Thomas and Remora finally resolved their relationship issues. Other noteworthy events were the inauguration of Samantha's mother as the state's Lieutenant Governor, the college graduation of most of her friends, and Dave's dramatic conclusion to his college basketball career. Samantha contended with a dorm divided between college freshmen and 40-something women escaping The Great Recession by returning to university life. 2012 finds the cast of "Kevin &amp; Kell" racing for various checkered flags. While Aby finds romance in the mazes of Mouscar competitions, Kell is in a race of her own as she tries to change the corporate culture of Herd Thinners, Inc. before time runs outs on her Ceo grace period. Rudy and his new Easter Bunny apprentice Wendell Luckyfoot sprint to deliver the eggs despite encountering one that actually hatches. During the summer, Coney and Lin adopt disguises to visit Wendell at Herbivore Camp to avoid being caught by camp counsellors. Rudy's autumn adversary is Kevin as they try to out-garden one another. A seemingly non-contentious performance of "West Habitat Story" turns into a clash of male egos. Other competitions include a Camouflage pageant, and Kell going on the predator-themed radio quiz show, "Wait, Wait, Don't Kill Me." On your mark, get set. . .

Dethany buys a house in this, the complete collection of 2011 strips from "On the Fastrack." As a bonus you'll also see the pencil sketches drawn live at her housewarming, when she invites both her co-workers and her friends from the non-corporate sphere. Not invited is Dethany's ex-boyfriend Syd, who resurfaces during a business trip with Wendy. The past also intrudes upon the present when Ms. Trellis researches Dethany's childhood. Growing up is seen to be a challenge, under the strict military guidance of Lt. Colonel Anne Dendrobia. Ms. Trellis and Dethany's mother come to be at odds during a contentious business negotiation. Other events include Dethany becoming the victim of identity theft, tutoring high school student Patina Welding, planning the Fastrack holiday party and, finally, spending New Year's Eve as a winsome gargoyle. Welcome to Dethany's house, where every day is Halloween!

Samantha finds herself caught in the middle as Jenny and Ming, two of her best friends, become pregnant simultaneously. Bambi's summer concert schedule was intended to be the dominant occurrence of 2011, but the tour bus soon becomes a rolling delivery vehicle to parenthood. Other events do take place, of course, such as the tornado that strikes the Havens University campus necessitating a rescue of gigantic proportions. Samantha tries to teach ethics to the cloned dodos, change her lab mate Rosalind back from being a daffodil and repair the heartbreak between mascot Roger and Wnba star Marcie. Finally, Samantha's visit to Dave in Italy leads to a brief parenting experience of their own, taking responsibility for a child with a unique backstory. Get ready! The due date is now!

In 1988, Al Leeds of the Washington Post Writers Group launched a new comic strip set at the Safe havens Day Care Center, featuring its dedicated yet beleaguered staff and their alarmingly precocious charges. Many things have changed since then, including a move to King Features Syndicate in 1993. At that point, the strip began following Samantha and her friends as they aged into elementary school and beyond, with the day care center finally reappearing when the former preschoolers began having children of their own. Here, you can see the early years of current favorites like Samantha, Dave and Jenny, along with characters like Matthew who took different paths.
