These letters show them attempting to come to grips with events in Laos and Vietnam, the idea of Berlin as a free city, and most particularly, attempting to solve the Cuban Missile Crisis and finalize the Nuclear test Ban Treaty. These 120 letters are fascinating and instructive and offer extremely valuable insights of these two superpower leaders from 1960-1963. They show not only the personalities of Kennedy and Khrushchev, but their leadership styles, the cultures in which they lived and the cultural and international differences which they attempted to bridge.

This book contains 101 children's sermons and/or devotionals written the way they were presented to children at church with one addition, an optional "devotional ending" aside from the "sermon ending." The sermon ending is used when the presenter gives the child or children a token or treat to help them remember its main idea. The tokens or treats are described or told where they can be purchased or found. The devotional ending, excluding the tokens or treats was added so the lessons could be used as devotionals/lessons for Christian acadamies and schools, Vacation Bible School, Sunday School, chapel services, or as family or individual devotionals that children as well as adults could use. 
Each lesson is based on scriptures from the Bible and includes a theme and a Bible verse. Even though they are written in a way that a 3 to 11 year old child can understand, they are just as interesting to adults.

The Wicked Place is a 400 page suspense thriller set in Huntsville, Texas and Walker County.  It is a provocative tale of good and evil where six women - all college students from Sam Houston State University - have disappeared over the past year. A Windham school teacher (Windham is the school district inside the Texas prison system) Hannah Douglas, disappears the same day an inmate escapes from the Estelle Unit where she teaches, and she is suspected of helping him.   Hannah's husband, a detective with the Walker County Sheriff's Department, fears that his beautiful wife has been kidnapped like the other women, even though she is not a college student.  His fears, along with their 12 year-old son's, escalate when he discovers why the escapted convict was sent to prison. It is the search for Hannah and the six other women that takes the reader to the wicked place.   The author keenly weaves a desire into the reader to genuinely care for some characters and despise others, making it difficult to put the book down at the end of each chapter.   The characters are brought to life with engaging dialogue and description, while the setting and mood for this story paint a vivid picture for the reader to visualize. The Wicked Place is a unique story that delves into the human psyche at its best and at its worst. The author, a woman who currently teaches inside a men's maximum security prison for the Windham School District, knows first-hand about the life on the inside, convicted felons, about the human psyche, and about bizarre behavior.   The twists and turns in the plot keep the reader searching for answers and turning pages.  Expect to laugh, expect to cry; expect the unexpected.
