We say, and we are not shy to say it: Prophet Muhammad (s) is our light; Prophet Muhammad (s) is our heart; Prophet Muhammad (s) is our life; For without our beloved Prophet (s) we would never have been guided to know of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, nor of the Angels, the prophets, the books of revelation nor of the Afterlife. When our master 'Ali (r) was asked about the strength of his devotion to Allah's Prophet (s) he replied: "By Allah, we cherished him more than we did our children, our parents, and all of our possessions. He was much dearer to us than fresh water is for a thirsty soul." Such was the esteem and the honor the Prophet (s) was held in by his Companions. By the same token, the hearts of true believers ought to be filled with similar devotion to the Prophet (s). Sending blessings on Allah's Beloved (s) is certainly the best way of invoking him, in compliance with the command of the Lord Almighty. In thus blessing him we show him gratitude and acknowledge his countless favors to us. To send blessings on the Prophet (s) is only a negligible payment for the unending benefits and good we have seen through him. In truth, to thank the Prophet (s) is to thank Allah, and Allah Himself is Champion and Supporter of those who honor His Beloved Messenger (s). Blessing the Prophet (s) is a token of devotion, obedience and the highest form of worship to bring the believer closer to Allah. The Almighty reserves the best of rewards and the most complete forgiveness for those who continually bless His Prophet (s). Suffice it to point out in this respect that it is out of honor and commendation of His Prophet (s) that Allah, revealed this Quranic verse starting with His Divine Self and followed by His Angels, orders His servants thus: ¿Allah and His Angels send blessings on the Prophet; O ye who believe! Send your blessings on him and salute him With all respect.¿ Following this verse, obligating believers to praise the Prophet (s), Allah then describes the incomparable Bounty that He (s) is: ¿Allah did confer a great favor on the believers, when He sent among them a messenger from among themselves, rehearsing unto them the signs of Allah, purifying them and instructing them in the Book and wisdom, while, before that, they had been in manifest error.¿ In obedience to the Divine Order and in expression of our love and admiration for the Treasurehouse of Allah's Munificence and the Manifestation of the Reality of The Almighty's Divine Names and Attributes, and in the blessed tradition of our ancestors and predecessors in faith, we present this book of perfumed verse dedicated to the love of our Master, and the Master of All Creation, Prophet Muhammad (s) , upon whom be the choicest of Allah's peace and blessings, and upon his Family, Companions, House and Followers, up to the Day of Rising.

Zusätzlich zu ihren eigenen vier Kindern, sechszehn Enkelkindern und sechs Urenkelkindern vermittelte sie Liebe und Weisheit an tausende von Schülern und Gästen, die alljährlich zu Besuch in das bescheidene Haus des Shaykhs kamen. Ohne auch nur ein überflüssiges Wort zu sprechen, gab Hajjah Anne durch ihr alltägliches Beispiel den wahren Geist von Hingabe an Allah, den eine Gott, weiter. Sie diente Shaykh Nazim und seinen Gästen mit einer unermüdlichen Gastfreundschaft. Sie kochte Tag für Tag für jeden, der ihr Haus betrat und lehrte den Menschen dadurch mit Humor und Weisheit Respekt für jedes noch so kleine Geschenk Allahs. Durch ihre Wesensart, niemals etwas zu verschwenden oder wegzuwerfen, sondern jede Sache zu nutzen und wiederzuverwenden, und durch ihre eigene harte Arbeit vermittelte sie Geduld, Freundlichkeit, Ehre und Achtung vor allem. Als Gelehrte und Dienerin Allahs gab sie ihr großes Wissen über das Leben der Propheten und Freunde Gottes, durch ihr Vorbild und ihre ausführlichen Erzählungen an die nach-kommenden Generationen. Die Erzählungen über das Leben der Propheten von Hajjah Amina Adil wurden zuerst von Karima Sperling in englischer Sprache eigens für Kinder neu erzählt. Sie promovierte in dem Fach Anthropologie an der Stanford University in Kalifornien. Sie nahm vor mehr als dreißig Jahren den Islam an, als sie für drei Jahre als Feldforscherin im Grenzgebiet zwischen Libyen und Tschad arbeitete. Ihre eigenen fünf Kinder unterrichtete sie selbst und erzog sie nach den Werten des Islam. Der eigentliche Beweggrund für dieses Buch war aber die Zeit, die sie selbst mit Hajjah Anne gemeinsam mit ihren wunderbaren Kindern und ihren Schülern verbrachte. Die Übertragung der Prophetengeschichten ins Deutsche durch Latifa Hafiza A. Krämer kam auf mehrfache Anregung hin zustande. Latifa Krämer ist Gymnasiallehrerin und seit vielen Jahren mit der Frage nach guten islamischen Kinderbüchern beschäftigt. Sie konvertierte vor mehr als zehn Jahren zum Islam und besuchte seither regelmäßig das Haus von Hajjah Anne und Shaykh Nazim. Dort konnte sie an vielen Tagen den wundersamen und lehrreichen Erzählungen aus dem Leben der Propheten aus dem Munde und Herzen von Hajjah Anne selbst lauschen und von der tiefen spirituellen Dimension dieser Geschichten schmecken.

Original Arabic, transliteration and translation. It is said that the author of Dala'il ul-Khayrat,Imam Muhammad al-Jazuli, went on a journey. He found himself in great need of water for making ablutions required before prayers. He came upon a well but could not reach the water far below, as there was no bucket and rope. He became very worried . A young girl saw this and came to his assistance. She spat into the well whereupon the water rose to the top of its own accord. Seeing this miracle, he asked the girl, "And how is that possible?" She replied "I was able to do this due to my invoking excessive blessings upon Prophet Muhammad, upon whom be Allah's blessings and peace." Having thus seen the benefit of invoking blessings upon the Prophet, Imam Jazuli decided to write Dala'il ul-Khayrat. In it, he compiled litanies invoking peace and blessings upon the Prophet. It is by far the most popular and universally-acclaimed collection of prayers upon the Prophet, used throughout the Muslim world and recited individually and in groups, in homes and in mosques, silently and aloud.
