<p>Inspired by the costume designs of New Orleans' century-old Carnival traditions, The Riddles of Existence lies somewhere between a book and a parlor game, a poetry collection and a fantastic display of visual art. Steeped in the mythology of Mardi Gras and New Orleans, The Riddles of Existence is object, text, and experience.<br />
An oversized artist's deck of cards, fifty costumes illustrated within are each paired with a riddle in the form of a poem. Another card lists the answers, but not in any particular order. The reader-viewer-player must solve the puzzle of which title goes with which image. A process of elimination should result in The Riddles of Existence being solved.</p>
