<p>Vanilla planifolia is an herbaceous climbing orchid and a tropical commercial spice crop. This exotic orchid, the beans of which on processing yields the popular, commercial flavouring agent “vanillin” which rules the world of edible flavours. Vanillin has been used in flavouring cakes, chocolate and some beverages. In addition, it serves also as the main component in cosmetics and perfume industry. Vanilla is a vine orchid; their seeds do not usually germinate. Thus, vanilla is propagated mainly by stem cuttings. But, the method is slow, labour intensive and time consuming. It is also uneconomical as the harvest of stems (cuttings of 60 – 120 cm long) for propagation arrest the growth and development of the mother plant.Hence, it is imperative to exploit the potential of tissue culture to effectively multiply and supply the required amount of planting materials for large scale plantation of vanilla.This book will help the growers to keep themselves abreast of the latest developments along with methods of mass propagation of vanilla through various explants. This book will cater to the immediate needs of the students, researcher, faculty members and horticultural industries.</p>

This book proposes a bio-inspired methodology guiding the software features modelling process, which starting from a software requirements model produces a feature-based software design model supporting variability as well as evolution aspects. So, this methodology extends the traditional feature model concepts with evolution ones. It builds an extended feature model from the traditional one. A combination of two formalisms notations is used in the specification of the extended feature model. The EBNF notations were used for defining the structure of the model whereas the algebraic notations were used for defining its properties.

<p>В работе на конкретном методическом примере расчета объемного гидропривода бульдозера иллюстрируется, что для эффективного решения подбора необходимых устройств объемного гидропривода (гидромашины, гидронасоса, гидроаппаратуры, кондиционеров рабочей жидкости, гидролиний и их элементов) необходимо произвести расчеты. Результаты выполненной работы позволяют, допустить, что достаточной точности выполнения расчетов и выбора гидроаппаратуры. Стоит отметить, что отношение объема гидробака к номинальной подаче насоса удовлетворяет тому условию, что для данного гидропривода нет необходимости устанавливать теплообменник, что в свою очередь делает конструкцию проще, а в следствие, экономичней.</p>

This book introduces an inverter for standalone Photovoltaic systems (SAPVS) using microcontroller implemented to convert the DC PV (Photovoltaic) voltage to AC voltage to be compatible with a normal load. The scenario of this work is that load consumes energy from the sun using PV panel. After that, the converter, inverter, and filter change the power from DC to AC to match the load specifications. The DC-DC converter is used to keep the output voltage constant controlling the switch pulse duration because of the sun irradiation increases and decreases randomly. The inverter used is a single phase inverter which has been implemented using four switches. The inverter input is the converter output. The output of the inverter shows a non-smooth signal as the sine wave. Such the pure sine wave appears after connecting the low pass filter on the inverter output. Simulation work has been carried out using MATLAB/SIMULINK and the result is compared with hardware.
