Vanilla planifolia is an herbaceous climbing orchid and a tropical commercial spice crop. This exotic orchid, the beans of which on processing yields the popular, commercial flavouring agent “vanillin” which rules the world of edible flavours. Vanillin has been used in flavouring cakes, chocolate and some beverages. In addition, it serves also as the main component in cosmetics and perfume industry. Vanilla is a vine orchid; their seeds do not usually germinate. Thus, vanilla is propagated mainly by stem cuttings. But, the method is slow, labour intensive and time consuming. It is also uneconomical as the harvest of stems (cuttings of 60 – 120 cm long) for propagation arrest the growth and development of the mother plant.Hence, it is imperative to exploit the potential of tissue culture to effectively multiply and supply the required amount of planting materials for large scale plantation of vanilla.This book will help the growers to keep themselves abreast of the latest developments along with methods of mass propagation of vanilla through various explants. This book proposes a bio-inspired methodology guiding the software features modelling process, which starting from a software requirements model produces a feature-based software design model supporting variability as well as evolution aspects. So, this methodology extends the traditional feature model concepts with evolution ones. It builds an extended feature model from the traditional one. A combination of two formalisms notations is used in the specification of the extended feature model. The EBNF notations were used for defining the structure of the model whereas the algebraic notations were used for defining its properties.

В работе на конкретном методическом примере расчета объемного гидропривода бульдозера иллюстрируется, что для эффективного решения подбора необходимых устройств объемного гидропривода (гидромашины, гидронасоса, гидроаппаратуры, кондиционеров рабочей жидкости, гидролиний и их элементов) необходимо произвести расчеты. Результаты выполненной работы позволяют, допустить, что достаточной точности выполнения расчетов и выбора гидроаппаратуры. Стоит отметить, что отношение объема гидробака к номинальной подаче насоса удовлетворяет тому условию, что для данного гидропривода нет необходимости устанавливать теплообменник, что в свою очередь делает конструкцию проще, а в следствие, экономичней.

The content of the present investigation was to formulate and evaluate floating-bioadhesive tablets of amoxicillin trihydrate (ATFBT) to provide local action in the treatment of Helicobacter Pylori (H. Pylori) by prolonging the gastric residence time. The FBT were prepared by direct compression method using combination of hydroxy propyl methyl cellulose (HPMC K4M) and chitosan (CH), carbopol (CP974P) and polymethacrylic acid (PMA) as release retardants and bioadhesive polymers, and sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3) as a gas-former. The prepared tablets were evaluated for their physical characters such as drug content, in vitro buoyancy, swelling index, in vitro drug release and stability studies. Further, the bioadhesive strength (BS) was determined using porcine gastric mucosa. DSC studies indicate the compatibility of the drug and excipients used in the formulation. The optimized formulation (F7) showed floating lag time of 32 ± 2.7 sec, total floating time more than 12 h, BS of 1.86±0.14 N, swelling index of more than 3.5 and was found to be physically stable when stored at 40oC/75% RH for 3 months.

Ceftriaxone for injection, USP is a sterile, semisynthetic, broad-spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic for intravenous or intramuscular administration. Ceftriaxone sodium is (6R, 7R)-7-[2-(2-Amino-4-thiazolyl) glyoxylamido]-8-oxo-3-[[(1, 2, 5, 6-tetrahydro-2-methyl-5,6-dioxo-as-triazin-3-yl)thio]methyl]-5-thia-1-azabicyclo[4.2.0]oct-2-ene-2-carboxylic acid, 72-(Z)-(O-methyloxime), disodium salt, sesquaterhydrate. Ceftriaxone is a third-generation of cephalosporins which is used for community acquired infections such as pneumonia and urinaly tract infections. It showed great advantage of once-daily administration based on pharmacological manner and need no renal impairment. It is stable for β-lactamases against first- or second- generations of cephalosporins. Ceftriaxone is also used for streptococcal endocarditis as alternative first-line therapeutic regimen and used for Sexually Transmited Disease (STD) such as syphilis and chancoroid.
