"If any man come after Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me." These words, spoken by the Lord Jesus without any preamble are the very heart of discipleship. Here we have the heart of what it is to be a child of God. This is not just something to do with deeper life, this lies at the center of the gospel.

If Any Man Would Follow Me...

The Lord Jesus described the conditions which would exist before His return, when He prophesied: There shall be signs in sun and moon and stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, in perplexity for the roaring of the sea and the billows; men fainting for fear, and for expectation of the things which are coming on the world: for the powers of the heavens shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. But when these things begin to come to pass, look up, lift up your heads; because your redemption draweth nigh. (Luke 21:25-28). If we consider the Lord's description of the end of the age with a sober and sound mind, we have to recognise that in all probability we are at the beginning of this period. In another prophecy He referred to the upheavals, the turmoil, the conflict, and the physical diasters, as the birth pangs of the coming Kingdom. In the previous prophecy He declared: when these things begin to come to pass, look up, lift up your heads; because your redemption draweth nigh. If that is true, then there has never been a time when effective prayer and intercession could be more strategic, more necessary, and more essential than now.

My House Shall Be a House of Prayer

So belief cometh of hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. (Romans 10:17)
Knowing the Word of God is foundational to our faith. So, when questions arise trying to stir doubts in our hearts about God's Word, there is room for our faith to be shaken. Yet God is faithful to defend His Word! Through the centuries it can be seen how the Word has been kept. 
Rather than dodging the hard questions of the Bible's accuracy, Lance digs right into the doubts and uncertainties, strengthening the faith in the solid Word on which we stand!

And he said, Show me, I pray thee, thy glory.Exodus 33:18 Think of Moses, who had a tremendous amount of experience with the Lord. Think of the way the Lord met him in the burning bush and said, "Take the shoes from off thy feet for the ground whereon thou standest is holy ground," and said, "My name is unspeakable. I Am that I Am, Jehovah." He revealed His name to Moses, and much else. This same Moses went to Pharoah ten times with a message from the Lord and saw the Lord send the plagues and deliver His people out of slavery in Egypt. It was after all of this that Moses said to the Lord, "Show me, I pray Thee, Thy glory." What was Moses searching for? In the messages within, Lance considers this fact and expounds more of what truly is the glory of God.
