A squirrel finds and stores nuts for the winter; a cat's tail stands at attention when it deems something a threat; a bird gathers straw to make a nest. None of these animals have attended school, worked for a corporation, or become addicted to social media. If you sit still for more than a few minutes and begin questioning your actions, you might be surprised to learn that they were not of your choosing. For many women, the natural change of life arouses such questions. Social constructs have an immediate and long-lasting impact on our lives.
