The Unknown Life of Jesus

The Unknown Life of Jesus Christ was originally published in 1894 by its author, the Russian-born and well-traveled aristocrat, Nicolas Notovitch. It consists of a lengthy and entertaining account of his travels throughout India and Tibet, where he met a number of lamas who insisted that according to their folk legends, Jesus Christ had once visited their land. By sheer chance, Notovitch claimed, he broke his leg during his journey, and was taken to a monastery to recover for a few weeks. It was there that he was able to acquire a copy of the sacred Tibetan scripture, The Life of St. Issa: Best of the Sons of Men, which was translated by Notovitch and is reproduced in this volume, followed by an analysis of the text from the author. According to the text, Jesus spent his early years from age 12 to 29 (the so-called "lost years" not recorded in Christian scripture) traveling throughout India and Tibet, learning from the local religious leaders, until he was driven out through persecution by the ruling castes for challenging their authority. Although held by some to be a forgery, Notovitch's "discovery" sparked a series of books by other authors on the subject of Jesus in the Orient that were published in the early half of the twentieth century, and the concepts which he introduced have now become staples of modern mystical thought. "Issa [Jesus] is a great prophet, one of the first after the twenty-two Buddhas. He is greater than any one of all the Dalai Lamas, for he constitutes part of the spirituality of our Lord. It is he who has enlightened you, who has brought back within the pale of religion the souls of the frivolous, and who has allowed each human being to distinguish between good and evil. His name and his acts are recorded in our sacred writings. And in reading of his wondrous existence, passed in the midst of an erring and wayward people, we weep at the horrible sin of the pagans who, after having tortured him, put him to death."

Louis Ginzberg was born in Kovno, Lithuania on November 28, 1873, to a family of rabbinic scholars which had once included well-known Lithuanian intellectual Rabbi Elijah Gaon. By age 14, he had memorized the Bible, and had a vast knowledge of Judaic literature. He pursued his higher education in Germany, and received a doctorate in Semitic languages from the University of Heidelberg in 1897. Two years later, he moved to the United States, and obtained work as an editor for the upcoming Jewish Encyclopedia, which was being compiled as part of an ongoing effort by the Jewish Publication Society in America to foster a broader understanding of Jewish culture in the general population. Ginzberg then became a Talmudic professor at the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York, where he served from 1902 until his death in 1953. Within this time he helped found the American Academy for Jewish Research, serving as its first president, and compiled his six-volume masterpiece, The Legends of the Jews.  This series of books, published between 1909 and 1939, was certainly the first, and is perhaps the greatest, comprehensive overview of Judaic tradition, belief and lore ever published. Utilizing his proficiency in the Latin, Greek, Syriac, Aramaic, Arabic and Akkadian languages, Ginzberg was able to draw not only from the Torah, Talmud, and Midrash, but also from the Pseudepigrapha, Christian scripture and apocrypha, and Islamic legends, his sources spanning in origin from three centuries before Christ until his own modern times. The first volume deals with events from the creation of Adam in Eden, through the lives of the patriarch Jacob and his twelve sons. The second book treats the Hebrews' time in Egypt, from the selling of Joseph as a slave to the Exodus led by Moses. The third book is about the time spent by the Israelites wandering in the wilderness up until the death of Moses. The present volume, which has been out of print for some time, pertains to matters stretching from the time they entered the Promised Land, under the commanding lead of their anointed ruler, Joshua, until the rule of Queen Esther, including the period of the Judges, the reign of kings Solomon and David, the dividing of the kingdom, the captivity, and the return from exile. Volumes Five and Six contain the notes to the previous four (to which the footnote annotations in this volume refer), and a seventh volume has been published containing the index. Aside from the scriptures themselves, few writings have had as much impact on modern Jewish thought, and on the popular conception of Judaism, as Louis Ginzberg's Legends of the Jews.

These act as magical charms, and also act as tokens of communal trust in, and fidelity to, the dollar as an institution. Every time a person spends a dollar, or accepts a dollar as payment, they are confirming their belief in the dollar, and using it to exercise their spiritual will. Even the familiar dollar ($) sign has an occult meaning which is linked with these ideas.

Ever since the visions of H.P. Lovecraft began to haunt the world, people from all walks of life have celebrated various interpretations of these musings. We are shown a world shroud in darkness that has been materialized by primordial malignant gods who fought one another for control of the Universe and for the worship of the humans who brought to them sacrifices and abominable litanies. But as many have already assumed, this Necronomicon tradition was indeed the product of Lovecraft's imagination, and it only much later became known as the Cthulhu-mythos, a haven for horror-fantasy genre authors. For nearly a century thereafer, the Necronomicon remained a fictional product of dark fantasy until the famous "Simon" folio was presented to the world in 1977. While many readers superimposed the Lovecraftian lore into their interpretation verbatim, this new document did not present rituals by which the malignant Ancient Ones would be unleashed into this world - in fact, it suggested the exact opposite: beneath the foundation of the esoteric mysteries exists a secret and sacred tradition to fight against this very act! As an unfortunate move by its contemporary readership, the "Simonomicon" came under attack as being no more authentic than Lovecraft's own stories. More serious practitioners came to a more educated conclusion: the magickal notebook (or grimoire) was incomplete at best, alluding not to the Enlilite traditions common to the "Sumerians", but rather to a Mardukite tradition that was raised by the "Babylonians" in honor of Marduk, firstborn son of Enki. Then, after the completion of the ARCANUM anthology in 2008, Joshua Free took on the role of "Nabu Maerdechai" and organized a occult research team in dedication to these mysteries called the Mardukite Chamberlains, which set out to uncover the truth behind the veils of centuries of misinformation about the backwaters of human consciousness including very specifically the role of the Anunaki or Sky Gods who appear at the heart of every ancient pantheon. The range of the Mardukite work included lengthy discourses with other related published researchers, unceasing hours in abandoned corners of old libraries and museums, participation in sessions with other practicing occults and even a visit to the "tablet collections" at the University of Pennsylvania. The culminating results were nothing like anyone would have expected: an authentic and verifiable version of the Necronomicon salvaged from the shifting desert sands of time in the Middle East and Egypt, unparalleled by anything already available to True Seekers. It appeared to be the most complete collection of ancient writings on the planet that formed the very foundation of all the human traditions and beliefs that would emerge thereafter. Given this, we concluded that being the ancient source of our modern traditions that have had the meaning washed out of them, this path was the most perfect, complete and logical example we currently have to pursue on this planet! This present edition of the Necronomicon edited by Joshua Free, is not Lovecraftian or Simonian (while it could serve to offer validity to materials from both sources for those who seek it), neither is it "dangerous" or a "hoax" (though those who fear the revelation of these truths for the world will think it the former and label it the later). This edition of the Necronomicon is the single most ancient and pure unaltered lore concerning the hottest topics of our time and all times, including divinity, creation, human origins, aliens, religion, pantheistic magickal traditions, alternate dimensions, portals and the afterlife.
