In "Circles," a suspense novel set in the late '60s, two patriotic people join the Living Foundation, a popular anti-war group in Manhattan. 
Fran, a single mother who opposes the war, and Paul, a covert FBI agent, are both out to save the world. How they would do that is entirely different, though. Fran wants to bring an end to the war, and Paul wants to bring an end to the Foundation. 
The book, which takes us into the heart of what some might describe as a cult, raises questions that are pertinent today. What are the causes of war? Why do we love the ones we choose to love? Why do we believe what we believe? and how far are we willing to go for our beliefs?
