Somehow as I incorporated Elijah Muhammad's teachings into my own consciousness I knew they were meant for others (Black people) but I felt they applied to me too...I never felt Elijah Muhammad offended me for telling the truth; I felt he saved me from falsehood. Very few Whites, if any, ever gave Elijah Muhammad credit for providing them with a psychoanalysis of themselves. During a time when white sociologists and psychologists were having a heyday conducting studies of Black people, Elijah Muhammad had the nerve and insight to present an ethnological study of the white man in his examination and diagnosis of the Blackman in America. He provided an explanation of the white man's origin, his nature, and his probable doom. I saw this as a blessing bestowed by him rather than an indictment, for no one had clearly explained the white man to himself. Elijah Muhammad, following the instructions of his teacher, W. Fard Muhammad, went to the very origins(root) of white pathology (white supre-macy).

This book does an impressive job of identifying some of the philosophical, historical, literary and artistic data of Western society which demonstrates the incontestable fact that racism is an intrinsic part of Western thought. The abuse of non-white peoples throughout the world was a predictable action on the part of white people who took their superiority as human beings as a given and the relative inferiority of non-white people as a divinely dictated certainty. The author demonstrates that all of the major Western religious systems are rooted in a set of philosophical and cultural traditions that have rendered even the religious systems themselves as tools of white supremacist doctrine and practice.
