The book features an introductory chronological overview of Leica-M History from the launch of the Leica M3 in 1954 to the present time; two essays, one examining the "characteristic spirit" of the marque, the second supporting the continued use of film in the new digital world, together with a detailed question and answer section for the technological improvements to the Leica MP model, are supported by 41 b&w photos and line drawings illustrating the first Leica MP of 1956 and M4 pattern Leicas to the present time. Leica Camera AG factory supplied drawings of the current Leica MP and its Leicavit-M accessory winder together with illustrations of independent accessories are also included.
