When a person is looking for God and cannot find him, the problem lays not so much in the one searching, but in the ones that should be properly representing God. The body of Christ as a whole has little idea of how to allow Christ to move through them. What we generally do is attempt with our flesh to force Christ onto others. It is what I refer to as selling God, just as one would sell a cheap perfume in a dollar store. If we would really become merged with His heart and understand how He operates, we wouldn’t have to sell Him at all.  The Oxford Illustrated American dictionary defines the word merge as “lose or cause to lose character and identity in (something else).” We, the Body of Christ, are to forfeit our own way of thinking. If we can visualize being swallowed by God, this can give us an idea of the meaning of “merging as one.” Once consumed by Him, you (the individual) and Christ will move as one single entity—not two separate souls attempting with futility to get on the same page. With this, people would flock to us, desiring what and whom we have because they see only Christ in human form!  Congregations across the land meet regularly. They throw their hands in the air and shout with songs of praise to Almighty God. They fall on the floor, weep, shout amen and hallelujah, speak in tongues, laugh, run around, and do many things of the like. On the other hand, there are those who bow quietly and never utter a sound in the attempt of being reverent. The Bible is full of worshipers just like all of these scenarios so I have no problem with any of these styles of worship.   However, praise and worship to a God we do not sincerely know or understand is worthless. Praise and worship should always be an outward manifestation of the inward communion with the One whom we are praising. Too many times there are external acts of worship without ever having intimacy with the Creator of Heaven and Earth. The result is that people in search for the One true God go home frustrated and aggravated. They are unable to find the One for whom they seek.  One of my most earnest desires in this life is to help instruct believers to walk in balance and become in sync with the Lord. What I often find in the church is that there is a lot of excitement and hype, not only in the initial act of the acceptance of Christ, but way too much in everyday services. Hype and excitement in worship certainly have their place, but too much of it without meat to follow leads one to discouragement because they leave church without knowing how to properly apply the Word of God in their personal lives. When this happens, those searching for relationship with God cannot seem to find Him. All they see are the people instead of Christ through the people. This book is set in place as a source of instruction to help people learn how to draw near unto His is heart and face, grow in true faith, and live a life of unity, balance, hope, peace, and love. When we begin a walk of intimacy with God through Christ Jesus by making His heart our own, the lost will be able to identify him through us and be drawn to Him.

That which is written in these pages is not to lay blame or guilt on any one particular person or group of persons, but rather to bring to our attention that, no matter how we arrived where we are,we all need to conduct ourselves with personal due diligence to make strides toward returning to holiness. We fail torealize that the things for which we should concern ourselves are the very things we have deluded ourselves into thinking are already correct. In these pages, we will direct our attention toward those very incorrect areas as we compare and contrast the church we see today to the original Church. My intention is not to criticize through finger-pointing, but to bring us all into awareness of our errors dating back centuries so as to correct our wrongs and return to that which is holy and pure.            This book is not intended to shame or condemn but it is, however, written to call everyone hidden in Christ, me included, to accountability so as to, according to the heart of our Savior and King, restore us to right standing. The longer we go in the wrong direction thinking it's the right one, the further and further away from the Kingdom of God we veer. The further away, the more and more difficult it is for the lost to be found; His righteousness and His Kingdom will scarcely be located.            My hope is that someone somewhere will begin to take a stand. One at a time, one small group at a time; one by one we can realign the Church, the body of Christ, and shift how we represent our King and His Kingdom as originally intended. We live in perilous times, indeed, and must strengthen ourselves through unity and obedience so as to withstand the whiles of the enemy.By way of example, if my great, great, great grandparents called dogs cats and taught their kids tocall their dogs cats and I then continued such a practice and everyone in my family for generations thinks that dogs are called cats, does that make us right? Of course not! It's simply a matter of wrong thinking passed from generation to generation. I could argue until I'm blue in the face to convince people that I'm right about dogs being called cats; nevertheless, I'm still wrong no matter how passionately and good intending I may be hoping to bring someone into, in my estimation, truth.So it is with religion. We, most of God's people, have practiced a garden variety of religious traditions for centuries. Does that make it right? Absolutely not. For most that fervently practice the religions of their forefathers do it wholeheartedly with good intentions; but, needless to say, it's still incorrect. Jesus preached the Kingdom. Jesus came to tear down the walls that divide (Ephesians2:13-16). Jesus came against the religious practices and man-made traditions that keep people of all walks of life in perpetual bondage and division.

In Marriage Beyond Mediocrity, we’re going to explore how to enter a holy marriage as God has ordained as well as how to rekindle a dwindling marriage. We will discuss at length various topics such as “what not to do” and “what to do” right where you are, be it the beginning, middle, or possible end.Everything about marriage is in direct correlation with our intimate relationship with Christ. What we do in marriage should mirror how we conduct ourselves with Christ and our marital covenant with Him. Since we as a people scarcely get our relationship with Christ correct, it becomes more and more difficult to get our relationship with our husband or wife in proper alignment. Marriage Beyond Mediocrity is designed for anyone married or considering marriage. In this world, within and without the church, people are jumping into marriage without thought of God, what marriage is, what it is supposed to be, or how to conduct themselves once they have entered. There is little concept of God’s will, God’s purpose, covenant with God or that our covenant with our spouse is in direct correlation to our covenant with God. This book contains what I consider to be of the utmost importance in attaining and maintaining a healthy, vibrant, Christ-like, Christ-driven marriage. Even within the confines of the body of Christ, we see marriages that appear, on the outside, to be successful yet, on the inside, they’re merely eking by year after dreaded year. Pastors, deacons, elders, preachers, teachers, and many others holding positions within the church are miserable in their marriages and this should not be. There is a better way! There is healing beyond the “we’re not divorced” scenario, as if that is sufficient in accordance to God’s will. Simply remaining married is not what God considers marital success.Marriages ordained by God should not simply avoid divorce; they should thrive in the joy of the Lord through thick and thin. Every marriage, given enough time, gets rocky as no one can avoid hardships in this flawed world, but turbulence should enable a stronger bond between husband and wife, not rip the marriage in two. The directive of Marriage Beyond Mediocrity is to guide people how to go beyond the humdrum and into a healthy, thriving union. If only I had known any of this prior to my first two marriages, I would not have married them. I would have waited upon the Lord to bring me to my ordained husband, Michael Wolf.

Marriage Beyond Mediocrity (How to Get it Right)

“Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves. Be ye therefore wise as serpents and harmless as doves (Matthew 10:16, KJV).”We don’t hear much about wisdom in the modern-day churches and, when we do, we hear little about innocence. This day and age is a time of self-serving religion on its best day, not to mention what it is on the worst of days! The King James Version reads “harmless as a dove” whereas the New American Standard reads, “…innocent as doves.” Either way, I see a lot of wise people who can preach, teach, prophesy, and more, yet they lack the ability to be innocent or harmless, aka gentle.This book is designed to bring the body of Christ, especially leaders of any vocation, to learn what it is to be innocent and wise at the same time. There’s a very good reason as to why God gave such explicit instruction; it’s because He understands that, like Lucifer, we can be the wisest of them all yet allow our wisdom to be corrupted by pride.

Wise as a Serpent, Innocent as a Dove

In this life we are taught to fight and fight harder, to pray and pray harder, work and work harder. Life becomes exhausting drudgery in our feeble attempt to control, manipulate and fix everything we don't like or that which is simply going haywire. The harder we try, the worse things often become because we needlessly wear out. We are enslaved by the heaviness of life.If only we knew all that is required of those who are in Christ is to rest. Rest is the place of peace amid any storm, faith in the face of the impossible, quietude during chaos, joy in the midst of the unbearable, and to bask in the love of Christ when all other love has failed.After all, how is working harder going to get God to usher into your life what He's already finished? What is praying harder going to do to move Him? Why do we think more of us is required when less is actually the key? Praying once in confident faith God has already moved on your behalf is far more powerful than praying relentlessly expecting little to nothing to happen. Honestly, I don't understand how one can productively "pray harder" as I hear so many folks say they do in crisis. I haven't read anywhere in the Bible of that being a tool of God's most faithful.Praying without ceasing is not the same as praying harder which usually includes begging and pleading. We need to understand we are sons of God, heirs of His Kingdom, not paupers who beg for God's leftovers and table scraps. He has ushered rest through Christ Jesus, not a call to more grueling laborious prayer and labor. Christ never instructed us to work in the sense that we are to strive continuously to get from God that which we want and/or need. We are called to be at ease through unwavering faith in the Creator who is the lover of our souls. Stress, striving, and working with futility to please Him or get what we need are not the ways of God. Yes, we know that for those who "don't work, don't eat" but that's the physical. Faith pleases God. Rest and peace are spiritual; they include knowing without doubting that God has already resolved whatever issue is at hand.Yeshua need not "get to work" on your behalf as so many pray. All His work was completed before the foundation of the Earth, including Christ's death and resurrection and our death and resurrection. There is nothing unresolved where God is concerned. We see this defined in Hebrews 4:3 which states with clarity, "For we who have believed enter that rest, as he has said, 'As I swore in my anger, "They will never enter my rest!"' And yet God's works were accomplished from the foundation of the world."It is simply our position in Christ to rest during our prayers and fasting expecting the greatness and the fullness of God's love to surface. The idea of "praying harder" is not something to which God has called His people. Rather, we are incited to pray in faith because His yoke is easy and the burden of following Him is light. Addressing life's issues should be from the stance of, "Christ, You have completed this situation. Father, reveal to me how to pray so as to usher Your completed work. It's already resolved, in Jesus' name." We pray from victory, not for it.

But, when you allow the Holy Spirit to move through you, witnessing is no longer a grueling chore. The message of Christ doesn't change, but rather the ease and method of your presentation does. You can either force your presentation of the gospel out or you can allow Him the freedom to transform you into a heavenly being so that He can do the convicting in those around you.
