Comparing it to Schubert's eighth symphony, commonly known as the "Unfinished," the author notes that mission is "what Christians do." Mission is our response to God's call in Christ . . . a call that persists throughout time and so is never complete. In his Program Notes, Rev. Chapman explains that each of us, as a believer, is thus a player in this great symphony. The audience for our symphony is an audience of one: God. The same God is also the conductor, always working to improve our performance.
