The critique of a moral value system is at the basis of Erewhon. With conceptual imagery and physical installation, the Wilsons transformed Blaffer's large gallery into chambers where moving images were projected and reflected in kaleidoscope sequences. Stagy tableaux of young women in retro gymnastic dress appear alongside, above, and below haunting tracks of what first appears to be an abandoned hospital. Who are these women? Where is this place? Coupling past and present in their hybrid filmic and sculptural structures, the Wilsons have created in Erewhon a work that is full of uneasy foreboding, powerful physicality, and lush beauty.

For more than thirty years, Jean Luc Mylayne has been photographing the birds of his native France. The creation of each image is a laborious process which can take months as Mylayne returns to the same location, day after day, waiting for his "actors", the birds, to play their parts before his lense. Mylayne asserts that the birds - he particularly focuses on bluebirds indigenous to Western Europe and the Western United States - are willing participants in the making of the picture. This is Jean Luc Mylayne's first book, and will accompany a U.S. exhibition.
