By looking topic by topic at places known to have been Burgundian, Europe’s darkened corners become visible in valuable new ways. As you enter the world of the Celts, think of the role of women and how that role changed under the influence of Rome and religion. Look for words that contain “Frank” – like “Frankfurt” and “Frankenberg.” Visit Trier and Worms to see what has happened to these two cities that were once so crucial to Rome’s downfall. Think of Slovenia as a Frankish homeland. May Europe’s children reclaim the splendors and equilibrium prized by their ancestors.

En aparté il convient de noter que le premier parc de Paris, le Jardin des Tuileries, a ouvert ses portes au public en 1667. Soigneusement conçus et méticuleusement adaptés aux besoins de lépoque, certains parcs ont camouflé le délabrement urbain inesthétique avec splendeur; dautres ont converti des sites industriels á un usage récréatif, tout en maintenant des liens culturels avec le passé. Depuis ses études secondaires dans lIndiana, la langue et la littérature françaises ont fasciné Jacqueline Widmar Stewart, qui a étudié aux Universités du Colorado et du Michigan et qui a obtenu son doctorat en droit á lUniversité de Stanford á Palo Alto.
