Whenever two people spend time together, they develop a tie.  Whether it is a family member, a spouse, or an acquaintance, a bond is formed.  That is why every relationship needs the right foundation.  But before we ever consider a relationship with another person, we need to consider that we were first designed to fellowship with God.  A major problem in marriages is that couples do not trust each other. In reality, they do not trust the Lord.  Their knowledge of God and His word is limited.  Love doesn't produce true intimacy; oneness does.  When we lack intimacy, we can learn to show each other Christ; and when Jesus is lifted up, He will draw all men unto Himself.  This book examines the principle that every relationship is a gift. It is not something we deserve (or don't deserve, as the case may be). Therefore, all that we do or say must begin and end at an equal place: at the Cross of Christ.  If we will go there, giving freely of ourselves and receiving each other as a gift from heaven, our relationships will be built upon a foundation that cannot be moved.
