The first 30 years of Patti Simpson's life were, in her own words, unremarkable. Happily married and mother of four, she was content with her conventional role as housewife. A regular churchgoer, she was not looking for anything beyond her familiar horizons. And then one summer night in 1968, she began to dream. The dreams went on for 21 nights. At the end of that time, she was led to a book which introduced her to the spiritual Master who would forever alter the course of her life - Paul Twitchell. In the course of three short years, Patti Simpson grew from reluctant student, who demanded proof before she would believe anything, to devoted member of the Master's inner circle. She worked closely with Paul Twitchell, helping him bring the teachings of ECKANKAR to the world. And during the few short years of their association, she came to know a side of the Master that few chelas were ever privileged to see - the private Paul Twitchell. In these pages, Patti shares her memories of this remarkable being. The stories she tells are sometimes awe-inspiring, frequently humorous, and often moving. While he was present among us, thousands of people came to know and trust Paulji as their spiritual guide, the MAHANTA, the Living ECK MASTER. In the years since his passing, thousands more have found their spiritual path in the teachings of ECKANKAR, now led by the Living ECK Master, Sri Harold Klemp.
