Roatan Island - off the coast of Honduras in Central America¿ On the south shore of Roatan Island you'll find the sparse remains of the city where the English and numerous renowned pirates made their original settlements in the sixteen and seventeen hundreds. Port Royal¿ Its unique position offered excellent protection from storms, but more importantly it offered a perfect place geographically, for pirates to reside before attacking passing ships traveling to and from South America and the Caribbean islands. There is probably no place in the Caribbean that represents more history, and offers more pure opportunity for lost treasure than Roatan. It is probably the most historically significant location for plunder in the Southern Hemisphere¿ On The Road To Roatan is a good, solid read of adventure, romance, and humor, and it brings in the memorable members of "The Hole In The Coral Wall Gang " whom have become so popular in my novels. This new book is somewhat of a compilation of actual experienced adventures, and first-hand knowledge of aircraft, unique creatures, and "challenging characters." And, in our real-life travels, my adventuring buddy, Bill Snell, and I actually experienced a number of places and situations that you find in my books.
