His theology of the diakonia of reconciliation and emancipation, for which Matthew 25 stands as the Magna Carta, explores the terrain of reconciliation of other religionists in an interreligious context, particularly as it encounters the Buddhist faith. Dr.Chung s intercultural emancipation theology, which he refers to as my Asian irregular theology, goes hand in hand with a Christian witness to the mystery of God s mission and active discipleship through the diakonia of reconciliation on behalf of the poor and also in recognition of the dignity and value of religious others.
