All Twila ever wanted was a normal life; however that was not God's intention. Instead, he led her down a path of depression, anxiety, and loss-but her pain was never purposeless. Her pain shaped her and molded her into the woman God wanted her to be, and despite the difficulties she wouldn't change a thing. While dealing with the problems that come with bipolar disorder, Twila also eventually came to terms with her less-than-perfect family. "Perfect" went the way of "normal"; neither description was in the cards. Then, Twila was diagnosed with a rare eye disease that slowly began to steal her sight. The climb was steep, but she persevered. God never gives us more than we can handle, although Twila does sometimes ask for a break! Climbing the Mountains is about the peaks and valleys of life and the constant fights in between. Twila and her family struggle with mental and physical illness every day, yet they have accepted their "abnormal" lives together with the knowledge that it's all part of God's plan. He loves them, no matter what; He wants what is best for them. He wants what's best for all His children. So, put on your walking shoes and come climb the mountains with her.
