Imagine being at work, feeling great, but suddenly going blind. Imagine waking up the next morning to your hand curled in, unable to grip anything. Imagine two days later your body attacking itself by continuous jerking movements and the inability to walk normally. Now imagine five years later facing these same symptoms and many more with no medical diagnosis despite numerous appointments with well known physicians. These last five years have taught me the importance of fully relying on God. In these five years I have found no security in my health, my job or my finances. The only security has rested solely in God's word. In this thirty-one day devotional, I will take you on a personal journey of an unknown illness I am currently facing. Even though I am the writer, I still find myself in awe of how the Holy Spirit is able to tie in God's word to each and every circumstance. His word is relevant to any struggle we encounter and His promise never to leave us nor forsake us has never proven more true that right now in my darkest times.
