Embedded for months on the Grey Wolves, they spread terror in the Atlantic and sank more than four million tons of allied fleets. Winston Churchill wrote of them: "The only thing that really frightened me during the war was the threat submarine. "This risk is manifested in the early days of World War II. U-Boat slips in the harbor of Scapa War Plow, hitherto inviolate the lair of the Home Fleet, and sank two battleships. Later, a mob appeared before the Port of New York and disrupts maritime traffic. In the North Atlantic, they track relentlessly convoys that supply the U.R.S.S. Everywhere they are invincible. But one day they become game hunters. Spotted by the radar which they are unaware, destroyed by explosives more powerful, controlled by Air Force overlooking the sea, the Grey Wolves begin a long agony. Doenitz's submarines are then decimated. When the 111 Reich collapses, when peace returned, the recent explosions sounded mournful sea: these are the last Grey Wolves who scuttled.
