These stories, written over thirty years ago, reflect basic lifestyles of many African-Americans living in rural areas of the South during the 1920's and 1930's.  Their terminology and settings parallel the economic and social standards of those times.  The tales hold no prescribed or natural pattern, but are related simply as they supposedly happened.  They serve only as another look into the little known and less explored realm of African-American culture.  The stories are as I remember them, enhanced by my own creativity and imagination.
