I discovered that depression was just one aspect of a much larger problem: the way I was using my mind and body.  What I share is my understanding of what I have conquered and observed in my own mind. In the past I would have liked to think that my mind was unique, but understanding says, "No we are all pretty much the same." The only uniqueness is the singular drama of life that we have composed in our own minds.  This is usually where I would try and sound as impressive as verbally possible.  The truth is that I am just an average Joe with only a high school education. I won't pretend I am not insecure on some levels since I have no title, degree or awards to back up my observations and theory.  All I have is practical  experience from my own life.   Like everything I do, I am glad I did not choose this interest-it circumstantially chose me-for I have always been driven to find solutions to problems I encounter.  Like everything I create, I offer you what I believe is of the most value, with at least some elements of uniqueness of voice and perspective. But if you read this book with lower expectations, you are more likely to be pleasantly surprised.
