Dear George: Insights into Healing Relationships is a book of hope and possibilities. I've been on a healing journey most of my life. The stories you are about to read are based on my own complicated journey and my years in private practice. Each chapter starts with "a letter to George" a psychotherapist. The letters describe the journey of George and me custom designing a therapeutic relationship. They are my effort to move beyond my past patterns of distrust for the psychotherapeutic system. We co-create something new that drastically reduces the chronic pain I've been living with for forty years. All the chapters have three perspectives: mine with George, a novice's experience-my daughter's journey healing cancer-and the points of view of veterans of the system. These people choose to work with me. They have been in the system for a long time and often have more than one diagnosis. They are system-weary and system-wise. In my life and practice, I witness transformative shifts, which produce amazing results whether people are dealing with anxiety, depression, chronic pain, cancer, or mental illness. We use less than 10 percent of our brain capacity, and we mostly operate from unconscious programming or habit. This is why we keep doing what we do, even though it may not work. One way to form new connections in the brain is to open ourselves to possibilities through reading about people who experience these kinds of changes. Is your unconscious programming taking over? Ever.Although one can certainly look at jury service as a civic privilege and opportunity to participate in the American judicial system, the fact of the matter is that most of us believe we really have better things to do with our time. Getting a root canal. Watching paint dry. Standing in line at the Department of Motor Vehicles. From the moment that ominous envelope arrives in the mail and up until the time we are solemnly herded into a courtroom, our minds are racing with plans to wriggle out of it. While there are legal disqualifiers for getting dismissed--being a felon, being related to someone in law enforcement, being over the age of 70, being pregnant and dangerously close to popping out a new life--there are also creative excuses, and that's what this book is all about. My sister, Gwen, for instance, is older than I am but has mastered the knack of donning age-inappropriate ensembles. Another time she sported an All-Seeing Eye (fake) tattoo on her forehead. These things haven't stopped her from receiving summons, but she has yet to ever advance beyond a short interview in the jury box.</p>

This publication presents a survey of the Australian dragonfly fauna of the Murray-Darling Basin (MDB), collected between 2004 and 2012. Historic and recent published distribution records are compiled and reviewed. An updated checklist of the MDB species and identification keys to adults and larvae of all MDB species are provided in this book. The origin, diversity and distributions of the fauna are discussed. Comprehensive information on species habitats and water quality and MDB distribution maps based on the larvae collected during the MDB Sustainable Rivers Audit (SRA) are presented. The known distribution records in Australia of all MDB species is illustrated by dots on maps. Photos of all species recorded from the MDB are provided, along with photos of typical habitats. Photos of adult specimens were mostly taken of live animals. This book also presents climate change scenarios for the MDB species that are of conservation concern. This publication provides a baseline of Odonata data for the MDB
