<p>Jesus modeled a different kind of leadership. His leadership brought life to His followers, and our leadership should too. But how can our leadership be life-giving when it can so easily be life-taking? Susan and Karen challenge us to:  Think biblically and lead covenantally  Find our confidence in Christ, not ourselves  Set our purpose on eternal goals instead of specific tasks  Reflect Jesus, not agendas  Lead with prayer &amp; wisdom  Seek covenantal community  Submit to God and the complementarian leadership of the church Life-giving leadership is grounded in God's Word, filled with the purpose of glorifying God, relationally driven and decidedly different than anything the world teaches us about leadership. Practical, inspiring and filled with stories of women, like you, who want to know how to lead in a way that reflects Christ. Karen serves as the Coordinator for PCA Women's Ministry, where she seeks to connect women and churches to one another and to sound resources. Susan is the former PCA Coordinator for Women's Ministry and served as a consultant to CDM. Susan is the author and co-author of several books for women's ministries and children.</p>

<p>Life-giving Leadership Leader's Guide contains two parts: The leader's discussion guide and a leadership journal for the participants. Leadership Contexts: This leader's guide is designed to help you take a group of women through Life-giving Leadership. Women lead in many different contexts, often several at the same time such as the home, church, workplace, and community. Leadership Groups: We hope the truths of this book will be transferable to any type of group or team you lead. For our purposes, we will use the word GROUP for the widest application unless we are referencing something only a ministry team would do. You may serve on a children's ministry team, worship team, mercy ministry team, or a women's leadership team. You may be studying this book with a group of women's Bible study small group leaders and teachers. You may study this book with a group of women at your church. All three approaches will require you to:  Read Life-giving Leadership  Reference the Leader's Guide in this manual.  Reference the Leadership Journal (will be noted LJ) in this manual. This needs to be copied and put in a notebook for participants and given to them with a book.</p>
