Poète-slameuse, peintre, comédienne et militante pour les droits autochtones, elle figure sur la liste des dix jeunes auteurs à surveiller selon Marie-Louise Arsenault, l’animatrice de Plus on est de fous, plus on lit!Natasha Kanapé Fontaine a aussi été lectrice pour le Prix de poésie Radio-Canada en 2014. Son premier recueil, N’entre pas dans mon âme avec tes chaussures (Mémoire d’encrier, 2012), a été bien accueilli et lui a valu le Prix de poésie de la Société des Écrivains francophones d’Amérique 2013.
