Jean describes her poetry as "a choreography of words" with area musicians providing accompaniment to the reading of each poem. The book is a collaboration of readers and musicians that includes a CD of the poems with musical accompaniment of oboe, english horn, flute, piano, fretless banjo, violin, and balafon. Jean's work has previously been published in the Great Smokies Review, the Online Publication of the Great Smokies Writing Program in Asheville, North Carolina.
