She happened to be - almost as an aside - one of the most magnificent horsewomen in the world.On her arrival to play the lush Cleveland Palace, she estimated her financial holdings at "7 horses and 70 4s ." But her disciples, not only in Ohio but scattered throughout the world, are legion."All of us," one of her students wrote at her death, "the three or four or five thousand who got busted, kissed, taught or touched by her and fell in love, tried to put off that event, fighting it all those years, which gave us more in common than most people ever have ..."Adele Parker's mischievous spirit still haunts the magical places in the great Cleveland Metropolitan Valley - "Alexander's Crossing," "The Galloping Grounds," "Paradise Lost."
