Ethan Hubbard, a former English teacher and deputy director of the Vermont Historical Society, sold his house and land in northern Vermont to visit and learn from rural and indigenous peoples of the world. Over the Last 20 years, he has traveled to more than 40 countries, among them England, Portugal, Greece, Egypt, Tonga, Guatemala, Nepal, El Salvador, Peru, Australia, Samoa, Sri Lanka and Wales. A prolific photographer, he has mounted 40 photopgraphic exhibits and has published six books. When not traveling, he lives in Vermont.
