Dies ist eine Monografie der etwas anderen Art: bekannte Architekturkritikerinnen und –kritiker beschreiben und analysieren die Architektur des Büros Jo.Franzke Architekten. Diese Architektur ist von hohem ästhetischem Reiz, geprägt von Ordnung und Reduktion. Sie sucht die Kontinuität, ohne rückwärtsgewandt zu sein. Nicht die Differenz um jeden Preis kennzeichnet die Architektur des Büros, sondern Beständigkeit, nicht zuletzt in der Vorliebe für gediegene Materialien, handwerkliche Qualität und schöne Details. Die extravaganten und dennoch klaren Bauten prägen die Stadt Frankfurt; seit ca. zwei Jahren allerdings nehmen die Aufträge aus China und den Golfländern zu. Jo.Franzke Architekten werden zu global playern, ohne ihre architektonische Haltung von Rationalität und Perfektion aufzugeben.
