A Meek and Quiet Spirit is a book of lessons particularly for wives and mothers from women in the New Testament. It is the sequel to the book Silk and Purple which was written about Old Testament women. The purpose of this book is as the purpose of the other: to show women of today how much the Bible has to offer them. Cindy has approached the book in a down to earth, folksy style, causing her readers to feel her love and friendship. The goal of this book is to inspire Christian women to recapture their interest in being "keepers at home" and to exalt their position as wife and mother. The author desires to encourage women not to neglect their walk or their ministry for the Lord, but rather to use it for its intended purpose. That is to develop in each Christian woman a meek and quiet spirit, which is her best tool for passing on her faith to those she is called to serve.
