<p>Surgery spared Bill's life; but would his and Cheryl's relationship be saved? Thrown from a motorcycle in India, Bill began his recovery from traumatic brain injury in a New Delhi hospital. After three weeks, his condition stabilized enough to travel home with around-the-clock medical care.  Back in Minnesota, the cruel reality and uncertainties of head injury consumed their days. Days dragged into weeks and weeks into months of hospitalization. Discouragement set in as Cheryl and family watched Bill's wounded brain haltingly struggle to function.Would Cheryl get her husband back, or would she simply endure their remaining years together? This is Cheryl's story of a journey through rugged unknowns, trusting that God's grace would help her face whatever lay ahead.College sweethearts, Bill and Cheryl Barr began their family and ministry in northern Minnesota at Okontoe Fellowship where Bill and his father, "Bill Barr Sr." became known for using the gifts of the Holy Spirit in counseling. After fourteen years with Okontoe, Bill held two church pastoral positions. In 1994, he was released from his responsibilities as associate pastor to follow his heart into ministering to the people of India. Bill and Cheryl traveled to India several times while also developing work locally. Cheryl serves as part time secretary in their church and works as a free lance artist. She teaches art classes, illustrates books, and encourages others to pursue artistic dreams.</p>
