Starting with The Girl Mantra, which believes "I will never get upset because I don't have Britney's s hair or J-Lo's face because I am me", it makes a pertinent point when it says, "a true friend will never blab a secret or make you feel bad". The chapters are full of information on how to handle problems like dealing with difficult parents, zits, coping on bad hair days and what girls need to know while figuring themselves out. The section on Boredom Busters is appealing with interesting information on Feng Shui and developing telepathic skills. It does convince readers that there isn't anybody quite like them in the world. Being a journal as well it has lots of space to write down thoughts, feelings and maintain a diary. There is even a fortuneteller. It promises that a complete reading will ensure a total `girl-expert'. Done up with appealing shades of pink, it is `girly' enough without being saccharine sweet.
