A collection of short stories and Leopold's Farm, a novelette. Richard Canterbury grew up as an orphan on the streets of New York City in the 1940's and early 1950's. His short stories bring out his biting wit on his views of life,people, polities and justice. The stories are laced with bits of characters he has met over the years.Richard taught in the Freedom Schools in Mississippi and Alabama in the 1960's. Arrested in New Orleans in 1967, he was the first "hippie" singled out by City Hall(as quoted by the New Orleans Picayune newspaper) as obscene, unclean and vulgar. He has lived in Sacramento, California for a number of years with his writer wife, Patricia.
