As Luis unwraps the layers of the horse's mysteries, his family's life is irrevocably shattered. The race's starting bell pulls the Smitt's family forever impacted by deception, to its denouement. Not a romance, travelogue, nor a tragedy, the novel manages a wedding on the other side of the world following a tragic event. No numerology nor magical realism, the story is strewn with recurring lucky digits which force our heroine to decisions which transform her life in often comical events in this high spirited frolic with a woman of worth. "The Farewell Tour" is the perfect, entertaining read for a flight or on the beach. Enjoy.
